The limah process - exploration and research creating solutions and possibilities.

At limah our projects typically develop through a system of phases in collaboration with the architectural teams; strategy & concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation. Design phases are typically followed by two other phases of tender and award and construction administration. These phases and processes are adjusted to suit each type of project, budgets, and project requirements.

During the design process our team uses limah's unique process of design & innovation to fully explore and research a range of solutions and possibilities for the client. We aim to understand a project's and the user's needs in new ways, find innovative solutions to meet those needs, and deliver solutions that are not only cost effective but can also increase economic activity for our clients and the site. Through the five stages of development we understand, observe, visualize, evaluate & refine, and then implement. This method brings together our multidisciplinary team, encouraging collaboration and opens doors to opportunities worth further exploration.

Project challenges, a range of solutions.

Our design process is best thought of as a system of overlapping spaces rather than a sequence of orderly steps. Beginning by understanding and observation we research the problem or opportunity that motivates the search for solutions. Visualizing and evaluation is the process of generating, developing, prototyping and testing ideas. Finally, implementation brings the design to life connecting users to the environment.

Using this process allows us to solve a vast range of project challenges. It further brings together our multidisciplinary team and the architects and clients we work with to develop products that are robust, accessible, exciting, feasible and economically viable.

Through our process we combined commercial and creative thinking to help The Reem Mall change the retail visitor experience. Our work focused on the total retail experience from customer service to parking systems, digital wayfinding to VIP lounges.
