King Abdul Aziz Road

Makkah, KSA

King Abdul Aziz Road project is considered as one of the important development project among other projects of an ambitious government program to be implemented in Makkah. These projects aimed to achieve economic, social and urban development goals to contribute to better services for pilgrims and visitors to the Holy City. The total area of the project is around 1, 2 million square meters.

With millions of people gathering in the same place and staying for approximately 10 days, the failures of crowd management can lead to panic attack spreads, which can end in hundreds of deaths. Other incidents that can occur with such big gatherings are fires, protests, violence, diseases and pickpocketing. Wayfinding can be a strong allie to good crowd management. Limah will take all these incidents into consideration when planning a complete wayfinding masterplan for KAAR.
