Modern living within a traditional aesthetic.
A sister tower of the world’s seventh tallest building Q1 Tower in Australia, the D1 tower in Dubai is an 80-storey residential skyscraper that enhances the landscape of Dubai with its dramatic design. The ultra modern tower rises 284 meters above the ground and pays homage to middle eastern heritage with design reminiscent of the deep sea dhow vessels associated with the Gulf region and its waterways. The unique craftsmanship of the podium canopy is inspired by the region’s fishing nets and results in a structure evocative of the 'Mushrabiya' (Arabian Screens). The development is focused on providing residents a traditional aesthetic within modern living, with many quiet corners for relaxation or meetings.
Collaborating with ENSHAA PSC, Limah developed wayfinding strategy that would guide residents through the interior, exterior and car park of the tower with ease. With signage that allowed the residents to navigate through the high-class facilities including a residents’ lounge, indoors pool, gymnasium and concierge services effectively, the team aided in the creation of a welcoming and dynamic environment.
Limah worked on the project from concept through tender using local materials and sustainable design in all products developed.
