Enhanced hospitality for Etihad Airways.

In 2018, Etihad Airways will relocate operations at its Abu Dhabi hub to a brand new terminal building, provisionally called “Midfield Terminal Building or MTB”. The project is for Etihad Airways’ Premium Check-in Areas and Midfield Terminal Building (MTB) Lounges.

The MTB’s terminal building will be the largest in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with 700,000 square metres of internal space, including approximately 28,000 square metres of duty-free retail and international F&B outlets set around an 8,400 square metres indoor park. The terminal will have a capacity to handle 30 million passengers per year, and up to 8,500 passengers per hour. Passenger facilities will also include over 36,000 square metres of airline hospitality premium check in areas and lounges and a heritage and culture museum.

The Lounges shall operate 24/7 to allow for a luxurious lounge sitting area with all respective facilities and amenities. LIMAH designed a wayfinding system for the exterior, interior and car park areas of the building, from concept through tender phases, to ensure an optimal experience for travelers.
