La Mer redefined Dubai’s Jumeirah coastline as one of the city’s earliest and most iconic public destinations where art became embedded into the everyday urban experience. Set across a large-scale waterfront district of beach, retail, dining, and leisure, LIMAH’s scope centred on public art as placemaking at a city level, delivering over 50 site-specific artworks integrated across facades, streets, doors, and ground surfaces.
EXPERIENCE STRATEGY AND DESIGN
Using art as a spatial storytelling tool, LIMAH transformed blank architectural surfaces into memorable moments of identity, orientation, and discovery. Vintage inspired murals, handpainted floor graphics, and curated visual cues created an immersive seaside character that invited exploration, social interaction, and cultural connection. The result was a landmark destination where public art shaped memory, amplified place value, and elevated La Mer into one of Dubai’s most photographed urban experiences.
