The new University of Wollongong Dubai campus was developed as a primary academic hub within Dubai Knowledge Park, positioned adjacent to the existing UOWD facilities. Our vision centered on creating a cohesive wayfinding system that encourages students to be more active within the campus while reinforcing the University of Wollongong brand.

EXPERIENCE STRATEGY AND DESIGN

The signage system was designed as an extension of the university’s visual identity. Color, scale, and hierarchy were carefully applied to differentiate room types: blue panels for classrooms and laboratories, red panels for offices and meeting spaces, and smaller white panels for service areas. Branding colors and geometric forms were further integrated into floor graphics, creating a unified environmental language.

By embedding brand expression into the signage language, the completed wayfinding system uplifts student spirit, enhances orientation, and creates a consistent experience across interior and exterior environments. The project demonstrates how considered wayfinding design can elevate institutional environments, improving usability while strengthening identity.
